Excited to share some video from a special event p Excited to share some video from a special event put together by @42_north at the @mfaboston last November. An evening of art, music and food culminated with us painting a 70ft x 14ft mural live (in 2.5 hrs!). In homage to Winslow Homer and the newly opened exhibit “Of Light and Air”, our mural depicts the moody seascapes Homer was so famous for. It was an honor to be part of such a special event. It was one we won’t soon forget. Well, that was cool! Proud to have been a part of Well, that was cool! Proud to have been a part of this extraordinary event put on by our friends @42_north at the @mfaboston last week. When @britt__cole__ asked if we could paint a 12’ x 60’ mural live, IN ONLY 2 HOURS!, I wanted to say it wasn’t possible. That’s a lot of canvas to cover, and a lot of variable’s that could go wrong. But of course we said yes, and came up with a plan we felt confident about and a team that we knew were up to the task. Designed to embody the moody seascapes of Winslow Homer, our mural is a nod to the MFAs newly opened exhibit of Homers watercolors. The amazing design of @petalharder and @hmrdesigns brought the mural to life further with a curved wall embracing the audience and an immersive marsh grass environment making it feel as if you were in one of the artists scenes.
