Dudley Municipal Center

We were recently commissioned by Josh Winer to work on a fun new project at the new Bruce C. Boiling Municipal Center in Dudley Square. We worked with the designers at Mecanoo to understand their vision and executed a hand drawn map of Boston in silver paint markers. The mural is situated on an interior lobby wall spanning two floors.

The building and the mural both came out great and will be a great addition to the neighborhood!

EBF: Bag Room and Mind & Body Room

We were recently invited back to EveryBodyFights to work on two new treatments for a couple different areas of the space. As they built out their programs they determined they needed some differentiation between the vibes in the different rooms/areas.

So after brainstorming on concepts we came up with some creative direction and pitched full-on room treatments for the Bag Room and Mind/Body Room. Using window treatments/screens, custom colored lighting as well as top-to-bottom wall/graphic treatments we created a vibe appropriate for each rooms activity….

We gave the Bag Room an “underground” feel, complete with a faux-concrete wall, faded graffiti hits, pipe stains and and screens for the windows The Mind and Body room took a needed a less aggressive feel, so using custom colored lights, and a wrap around mural featuring the brands ethos/motivational phrases, we created a “cloud like” feel in the room, to help tune out any distractions while getting your Zen on.

Always fun working with George and AJ….Thanks guys! Hope to do it again soon!

Rooftop Garden @ Kendall Center

We we’re excited to be asked by Josh Winer to join a big project for the Rooftop Garden at Kendall Center (formerly Cambridge Center) late this summer. The project was our largest to date and challenged us in many ways, but it was a great experience overall, especially working with Josh and DCL.

FYI – the artwork in this project is not ours. We are just rendering a provided design.

47Brand @ Boston Calling

After a fun debut with Project SF at Boston Calling last spring, Studio Fresh joined 47Brand again this September for a blown out version of our first appearance. Over the course of the three day/night event we built a 10ft x 20ft diorama of Boston, complete with lights for the night display.

Pics and video below!

Chew Lab Mural

Just wrapped a fun new mural/sign for a cool new business in Cambridge called Chew Lab. Focusing on creating smart, healthy foods, they work with other businesses to help them develop new products.

Adam, the owner, tasked us with creating a mural that not only let everyone know what the name of the business was but also told a bit of a story about what they do. So we made a fun colorful collage around the company name, that has hidden details all over relating to the business, as well as a side wall that acts as a “peek” into the “lab” behind it all.

Thanks to Adam and the team at Chew for working with us! Look forward to seeing what comes out of this space!

Closer to Free Mural

We received a request to help out with the production of a mural in New Haven, CT for the Yale Cancer Centers “Closer to Free” program, bringing inspiration and awareness to others in the fight against cancer. The end product was to be used in a TV commercial highlighting the hospitals program. The style was a little different than what we are used to painting, so it was a fun challenge to reproduce their provided artwork on a 30′ scale.

The end mural was left “unfinished” on purpose so the actual program participants, survivors themselves, could finish the mural while being filmed for a eventual TV commercial. Check out the 60 second spot below!

Thanks to everyone involved to allowing us to participate in such a great project, and special thanks to Caleb Neelon for helping organize and execute this one. (And of course New Haven for the pizza!!!)
