Geodesic “art” dome for 47 Brand
Boston Calling music festival.
Boston, MA
Here is the first of a couple fun projects for Stormalong Cider. We just built a custom box to cover their “cooler” through which they run their kegs/taps at any events and off-site locations. Our design has a few different types of salvaged/reclaimed wood panel on all sides with woven corners and a copper wrapped top. The badge is painted blue and screen printed to get a crisp logo on the front.
Pretty happy with how this came out and looking forward to the rest of our collaborations!
Thanks to an invite from good friend Caleb Neelon, we were able to collaborate with him on a fun little mural for the lobby of Cybereason. Located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, their new office needed some custom lobby art to help bring some energy to the entryway and help them stand out from their neighbors.
Using their logo, some “malops”, a couple sharks, and some other bits taken from their brand identity we created this fun piece in a day in order to be reveled as a surprise the next day.
Hope everyone at Cybereason enjoys it! Thanks Caleb!
This past May we worked with 47Brand again to create another fun interactive experience for the attendees of the Boston Calling music festival. We came up with the idea of a “baseball card style” custom photo booth with a hand painted backdrop of Fenway Park, custom lighting for the evening hours and a hand full of gear and props from 47 Brand.
Needless to say it was a lot of fun watching people get geared up and pose all night. The results can be found on instagram and Facebook under the hashtag #47brand.
Great times once again working with Ryan and crew at 47 Brand. Can’t wait to do it again in September!
We completed our largest single piece to date last week at Middlebury College in Vermont. They are completing construction on a massive new field house, and we were commissioned to paint a massive version of the school mascot, a panther, on one of the walls. Completed in just under 7 days, we tested our speed and endurance on this one, but came out happy with the results!
Great working with Design Communications Limited and Mural Arts Studio again on this. Look forward to the next one!
We were recently commissioned by Josh Winer to work on a fun new project at the new Bruce C. Boiling Municipal Center in Dudley Square. We worked with the designers at Mecanoo to understand their vision and executed a hand drawn map of Boston in silver paint markers. The mural is situated on an interior lobby wall spanning two floors.
The building and the mural both came out great and will be a great addition to the neighborhood!
We were recently invited back to EveryBodyFights to work on two new treatments for a couple different areas of the space. As they built out their programs they determined they needed some differentiation between the vibes in the different rooms/areas.
So after brainstorming on concepts we came up with some creative direction and pitched full-on room treatments for the Bag Room and Mind/Body Room. Using window treatments/screens, custom colored lighting as well as top-to-bottom wall/graphic treatments we created a vibe appropriate for each rooms activity….
We gave the Bag Room an “underground” feel, complete with a faux-concrete wall, faded graffiti hits, pipe stains and and screens for the windows The Mind and Body room took a needed a less aggressive feel, so using custom colored lights, and a wrap around mural featuring the brands ethos/motivational phrases, we created a “cloud like” feel in the room, to help tune out any distractions while getting your Zen on.
Always fun working with George and AJ….Thanks guys! Hope to do it again soon!
We we’re excited to be asked by Josh Winer to join a big project for the Rooftop Garden at Kendall Center (formerly Cambridge Center) late this summer. The project was our largest to date and challenged us in many ways, but it was a great experience overall, especially working with Josh and DCL.
FYI – the artwork in this project is not ours. We are just rendering a provided design.
After a fun debut with Project SF at Boston Calling last spring, Studio Fresh joined 47Brand again this September for a blown out version of our first appearance. Over the course of the three day/night event we built a 10ft x 20ft diorama of Boston, complete with lights for the night display.

We had an opportunity to work with the Massachusetts DYS recently to install a mural inside one of their facilities. We worked with a few of the youths in the program to paint a “Boston Strong” mural in one of the wings.
It was a great experience for everyone involved and we look forward to more opportunities to work with DYS on these kind of collaborative projects.
